Nepal Immigration Department Imposes Fines on Trekking Agency for Permit Breach
The Department of Immigration in Nepal has taken action against a local trekking agency and its guide for attempting to take tourists into a restricted area without the necessary permits. The incident involved two Belgian tourists who were being led towards Dolpo Buddha Rural Municipality in Dolpa without the required trekking permits. The agency has been fined accordingly, and the guide is also facing further action.
